Lisa first came to yoga ten years ago, as a college student seeking a way to exercise that she would feel “good” at. She expanded her practice after a lower back injury in her mid-20s. As a high school English teacher for the past eight years, seeking a teaching certificate in yoga seemed only natural, as Lisa is passionate about sharing something she knows can benefit others. After working as a personal trainer in conjunction with her teaching career, she decided to really delve in to the field of health and fitness. She hopes students leave her classes feeling a sense of relaxation and accomplishment. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family.

Lisa is married to Jonny and has a two-year-old son, Noah. She loves to read, run, and travel to new and warm destinations. Yoga has helped her alleviate physical and mental pain, and she wants to share that gift with others. It might surprise people to know that Lisa loves 4-wheeling through the mud! Her yoga philosophy is beautifully simple: “Yoga is for everyone.”
