Sophie is passionate about teaching yoga because for her entire life she has wanted to help people and now she has the knowledge and tools to teach others how to better care for their bodies and help themselves; that is priceless and unexplainably rewarding for Sophie. She also likes to teach because I like to change people’s lives and ultimately help them improve their health so they can better serve their dharma.
A fun fact about Sophie: For being a yogi, I am a die-hard meat eater. It’s just something she can’t give up!
Students will leave Sophie’s class feeling more comfortable in their bodies, while also gaining flexibility, improving their posture, and freeing their everyday stressors by connecting the body and mind through breath and movement.
What is Sophie’s teaching philosophy? “I believe that you have to start somewhere, no matter how hard it may be. You can do anything if you truly want to. Have an open mind and heart so we can focus solely on our breath and bodies for a short hour of the day to help improve the other 23. Leave all expectations of yourself at the door; bring your mat, water bottle, yourself, and get ready to connect with the universe around you and forget about whatever is holding you back.”
