IT MIGHT NOT ALWAYS FEEL EASY BUT THE FREEDOM IT BRINGS IS PRICELESS!
Jess was a high school track athlete with several state championships in all things sprinting. However, any distance over 800m was definitely out of the question. It wasn’t until Jess moved to NYC for a job in the fashion industry when her love for running really began. She was on a quest to learn the NYC city grid and running became her vehicle to do so; it was a powerful combination. What started as exploring the streets of downtown Manhattan, ventured into running well beyond the outer boroughs. What started as a 5K quickly turned into a half marathon. 9 years later, running has become an irreplaceable passion for Jess and an important element of her life; not only to stay in great shape, but also for the joy it brings her. Jess is a strength coach as well and is certified through NASM. She has completed 11 marathons (including 2 Boston qualifiers), countless half marathons, and a crazy 100k in NYC (ask me about that in class sometime!). Jess believes strength and speed go hand-in-hand and is determined to take her 3:14:37 marathon time to sub 3 hours someday.
