TEACHES: Cycle

 

An Idaho transplant by way of New York City and Ohio, Lauren is in love with her new home, Boise. A certified indoor cycling instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics, Lauren has taught cycling in South Bend, Indiana and New York City, where she lived for 10 years before moving across the country with her husband Ken, twin sister Emily, and cat George.

 

A long-time sport athlete, Lauren believes wholeheartedly in the positive physical and mental impacts of physical activity. She discovered the transformative power of indoor cycling in college and was instantly hooked. She became certified and began teaching classes to fellow students at Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, IN and went on to teach at an independent studio in New York City. Lauren believes indoor cycling should be a positive, uplifting experience and strives to create a welcoming, inclusive, fun atmosphere in her classes, while also giving her teammates a rewarding and challenging workout and endorphin high.

 

When she is not teaching cycling, you can find Lauren outside: working on her novel in her backyard, gardening, biking the greenbelt, reading a book in the branches of her crabapple tree, or hiking the foothills with her sister and husband.
