I fell in love with fitness in 2007 after being extremely overweight throughout my teens. My weight so negatively affected my physical and mental well-being that I decided to make a change, so I started slow with running and 6 months and 60 pounds later I was totally addicted! Running is my one true exercise love - the mental release and ability to push through barriers I never thought possible is the most amazing feeling . . . EVER! I have a Masters Degree in Education and taught Kindergarten for seven years, but I recently decided to pursue my passion full time. I joined the Incline team (in addition to coaching at another local studio focusing on my clients’ core) because I enjoy helping others reach new goals and I love providing a kick-ass workout. I have also continued challenging myself, beginning with my first competitive event, a 12 mile tough-mudder in 2010. I have since completed a handful of 10ks, four 10 milers, and three half marathons. I have also completed two sprint triathlons and a duathlon. I am currently training with the Incline Run Club to take on the Philadelphia Marathon, my first full marathon! I may have a slight addiction to medals and free t-shirts! In my class you will be challenged with sprints and rolling hills, but we will also log some endurance miles. And, we will have fun while we do it! If you’re lucky enough, you may even catch me singing or dancing in the corner!
