After moving to Jackson in 2012, Emmie dove into a consistent yoga practice as she found it complimented her new active mountain lifestyle. In 2016, Emmie completed her 200hr yoga teacher training in Goa, India. She studied a multi-style approach including ashtanga, yin, and hatha. Emmie believes that yoga creates resilience in people - mentally, emotionally, and physically. She believes that yoga provides body awareness and connection to breath, which are necessary in all aspects of life. In her classes, Emmie seeks to encourage intentional movement while building heat in an alignment based, playful sequence. Outside the studio, you can find Emmie skiing, mountain biking, or doing anything outside with her dog Gus.
