Katie comes from an ultra-distance running background, and started cross-training 7 years ago, when she wanted to take her running to the competitive level. Katie has personally experienced the benefits of strength and conditioning training to avoid injury, increase mobility, and build strength and endurance when out on the trails. Katie enjoys motivating her clients to work hard and gain confidence in themselves by testing their own personal limits. She also understands the challenges of trying to balance work and family life, and believes in the importance of taking a little personal time to mentally and physically recharge, through participation in group fitness classes. Katie loves teaching at Pursue because it is a place where she feels valued and supported; not just as an instructor, but as an athlete, a mother, and a school teacher.
