EJ, short for Emil Justin, is a student, dancer, choreographer, photographer, and Rhythm Ride instructor. Born a Sacramento native, EJ grew up an athlete beginning at the age of 4 years old. Starting with competitive Tae Kwon Do and achieving a first degree black belt at the age of 9. After recovering from an injury from martial arts, he transitioned over to other sports like tennis, cross-country, and swim. In high school, he found his love for dance with Universal Rhythm Dance Co. and graduated from Sheldon High School in 2016. Since then he began teaching and choreographing for local high school dance companies, training in New York City, and teaching at two dance dance studios in Sacramento. As a kinesiology major, he strives to help people become better versions of themselves; in hopes to one day open up his own practice to help dancers and athletes.
