I had been a runner since I was a little girl. At about the time my mom was diagnosed with cancer, I was invited to a Bikram yoga class. I hated it at first. I took my first class and vowed never to return. Then one day my run felt lonely and I felt bloated and nothing seemed to be working. I went back for my second class and I have been hooked ever since. That was 20 years ago. A regular yoga practice has helped me stay calm, focused and flexible. I have taken and taught yoga up until a few days before my daughter was born and was back in the studio two days after she was born. I think I am a kinder more patient mom because of yoga. I started yoga for the physical benefits, and I’ve stayed for the mental benefits. I was inspired to teach by watching other teachers and noticing how they were transforming others lives. I was taking so much yoga it was all of a sudden the next natural step. Yoga has changed my life and I’m so very grateful to get to teach at Frequency yoga.
