I was introduced to Bikram Yoga threw a childhood friend who was a teacher at the time. I had been suffering from sciatica for a few months and I had tried everything to alleviate the pain (painkillers, massage therapy, chiropractors etc.)
I had never broken a bone or had any serious injury in my life. I was an athlete and considered myself to be in good shape. Still, nothing was working.
My close friend who was a teacher, encouraged to try Bikram Yoga. He went as far as to guarantee that within 30 days of doing yoga the pain would go away. I put him to the test! I signed up for a 30 day challenge and the rest is history. Not
only did the pain subside, I started to notice other benefits from staying
consistent with my practice. I felt a calmness, a sense of security and overall peace coming into my life. I felt grounded.
Happy that I was no longer in pain and feeling so good from my practice I wanted to know more about yoga. In fall of 2012, I attended Bikram’s Teacher Training. Since then I have been teaching in various studios in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area.
When you find a good thing you just want to tell everyone about it! I believe I found a good thing! Looking forward to see you in the Hot room!
