Give it purpose
Julia found her way into fitness through yoga asana. She was fascinated by the way breath and intention influence muscle and bone, and then she started adding resistance and cardio. She is a strong believer in the power of a good playlist whether it’s for a heavy lift session or a light spin on the bike. Her classes are full of motivation and spirit, encouraging athletes to harness their own spark and run with it. Julia’s favorite part about training is leading students and clients towards finding their strongest, clearest self by teaching them to be ultimately present in body and mind. She is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher through Coral Brown and she is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the NSCA. When Julia isn’t teaching yoga or training clients, she is conducting research on resting metabolic rate in experienced yoginis to earn a MS in Kinesiology from URI.
