Since beginning her practice in 2013, yoga has remained a grounding force for Syd. Yoga allows her to connect, time and time again, to her wise inner child; opening gateways to integrate divine information for deep emotional processing and healing. Each return to breath provides a new opportunity for reflection and growth beyond her conscious abilities. Syd loves teaching Yin yoga because it offers a space for quiet stillness that is often lost in our busy world. In yin, we are invited to recognize the stress we so often carry in our bodies, and use meditation and breath to process it. Yin yoga is a great compliment to a high-energy practice or lifestyle because it gives us the opportunity to slow down, clear our mental clutter, and experience the depth of how our emotions relate to our bodies. When she’s not in the studio, Syd spends her time outside kayaking, barefoot hiking, and foraging for wild foods and medicines which she crafts into natural health and beauty products at Wild Eye Botanicals. Syd is a lifelong student of nature, and she believes that connecting physically and spiritually with nature is the most symbiotic path to healing. As we cultivate a healthy relationship with the natural world around us, we nurture our ability to deepen relationships with ourselves and others.
