Alex is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, a Barre instructor, a Spinning instructor and a Certified Life Coach.

Alex began her journey with wellness when she started regularly practicing yoga in 2010. She was immediately drawn to the way a regular yoga practice helped her calm, ground and heal. Her desire to connect with others and share the balance that yoga brought to her life led her to complete her first 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2014 in Mexico. Since then, she has taught different styles of yoga in studios and gyms in Canada, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi.

In 2017 Alex completed her 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training in Bali. Additionally, Alex has taken courses in kids yoga, prenatal and postnatal yoga, adjustments and assists, and yoga workshop design. In 2018, Alex joined the Room and immediately loved the way the variety of classes contrasted and complimented her yoga practice. She completed courses to become a certified Spinning Instructor and Barre Instructor. Additionally, as a life coach, Alex works one-on-one with individuals to create sustaining changes in their lives.

In Alex's yoga classes, her goal is to guide you through a practice that is accessible yet challenging, works towards a peak posture, and leaves you feeling grounded.

In Alex's barre classes, you can expect a high energy workout based on the principles of functional movement. You will use the ballet barre, resistance bands and weights to strengthen and balance the whole body.

Alex is excited to start teaching Spinning classes at the Room, too.
