Education: Doctor in Veterinary Medicine, PhD, University Complutense of Madrid, Spain
Certification:
ACE Certified Group Exercise Instructor
Spinning Instructor, Madd Dog
Level 1 and 2 Comprehensive Program, Peak Pilates
Specialties: Pilates, Spinning, HIIT training, Orthopedic Exercise
Hobbies: Hiking, biking, gardening, birdwatching, cooking and, of course, Pilates
Philosophy on Exercise:
Pilates complements all types of physical activity. It is useful to athletes looking to improve sports performance and prevent injury, as well as to deconditioned individuals who may be experiencing aches and pains or muscular imbalances. It is never too late to start practicing Pilates: by working your body from the center out, you can improve posture, increase muscle strength and balance, and enhance muscular control of your back and limbs. Older, active individuals that make the commitment to be active for a lifetime inspire me to continue to be active myself and use my fitness education to bring clients forms of exercise that are safe and rewarding. But being healthy is not just about working out. Growing and cooking my own food is not only fun, but also a form of exercise that promotes mindful eating and long-term wellness.
