Fitness Philosophy: Find a form of movement that sparks joy and brings awareness to your breath and helps you move taller and stronger in your life outside the gym or studio.
Favorite Personal Workout: Peloton spin class followed by pilates on the wunda chair.
Bio:
I have lived with chronic asthma since birth before inhalers were invented spending countless nights in emergency rooms with my Dad. Joseph Pilates was also asthmatic which partially led to his Method development. My pediatrician encouraged my parents to move me into a dance studio at age 3 away from the heavy smog in southern California. I learned strong technique in the ballet studio taking me up en pointe vertically and then horizontally into the pool with a more efficient stroke and plyometrics that led me to California state championships in the warm-up pool with Olympian Janet Evans. Precision is one of the six pilates principles that is most apparent in what I bring coaching. Clients appreciate what I bring to their body and mental awareness and ability to “see” people and what’s called for in their session, group reformer class, or in my executive and wellness coaching. Fitness is all about having fun, empowering ourselves, and the endorphins are a nice byproduct!
List of Certifications: NBC-HWC; ACC; Physical Mind Institute mat trained; IM=X® reformer trained; Balanced Body apparatus trained
