Amanda
Amanda is interested in movement as a way of mental and physical healing. Working in Physical Therapy has shaped the way she balances expressive movement with an acute awareness of the science of your body. She studied dance at the University of Arizona where she was introduced to yoga and Pilates. In her yoga practice, she found a way to navigate the highs and lows of a career in the arts. In Pilates she found a connection to the core that allows her a deep quiet strength and a sturdy center of balance. She enjoys mixing elements from all the movement styles she studies which keep her classes interesting and full bodied. She believes in cultivating a safe practice that allows you to practice for a very long time without injury. If we move from a place of pleasure and earnest it is less likely that we will injure ourselves. She thinks taking the time to witness your body and your mind is the best way to stay healthy and present. Amanda's classes cater to practitioners of all levels and abilities
