Simon sees fitness as a powerful preventive medicine and a way to discipline one’s life, and self defense as a way to instill confidence and willpower. Whether a a client wants to lose weight, improve their performance at a hobby or sport, or learn the sweet science of fighting, Simon is confident that with an educated, systematic exercise program he can give anybody the tools they need to succeed.
Simon But has been a practitioner of the martial arts since childhood, and he has trained and competed as a Northern Shaolin Kung Fu athlete, winning the state title in Arizona as well as the Southwest Regional Championship. Dissatisfied with the scope and practice of traditional martial arts, Simon went on to compete in USA amateur boxing and IKF Muay Thai kickboxing tournaments, rounding out his skills and giving him a unique perspective on the connection between fight sports and self defense.
