Are there Benefits to Eating Eggshells?

Most of us would never consider deliberately eating an eggshell, and we usually go to a lot of trouble to make sure we do not get bits of eggshell in our eggs when cooking them!     However, it may be time to rethink that practice because eggshell membrane has proven to be highly beneficial for joint and connective tissue disorders.

To use your eggshells collect them then place then in boiling water for 5 minutes to clean them and kill any bacteria.

Then spread them on a paper towel to dry.

Next place them on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes to completely dry out and insure all bacteria is killed.

Next grind the eggshells in a coffee grinder to a fine powder

Store the powder in an airtight container

How to Consume Eggshells

One of the easiest ways to consume your eggshell powder is in smoothies – 1 tablespoon per week is all your need to obtain the benefits!
